Over the past 3 days you’ve practiced planning and being 1 step ahead of the moments before they happen.
Knowing WHAT you want to capture, and being READY to capture those moments when they arise.
We’ll keep on saying this, and it bears repeating. You all are amazing parents with cameras, and we know how important it is that the PARENT part always come first.
Today, let’s have a moment of real talk.
When you grab your camera, does your kiddo immediately go into one of these modes?

They become something other than their natural, authentic, wonderful selves?

Grab your camera and don’t even acknowledge that you’re taking photos. It’s no big deal.

Practice natural prompts to encourage the moments you want to capture with questions and curiosity, instead of demands for actions or behaviours

If your kiddos try to acknowledge you, here are a few strategies: Minimize your presence (”I’m just having a lot of fun taking photos, ignore me!”), redirect their attention back to their activity with curiosity prompts, or Show them what you’re up to and get them on board with you taking photos
